We offer Emergency Shelter beds for adults.  We also serve dinner 365 days-a-year in our Community Meal Program, and lunch every weekend and holiday for anyone in our community who is hungry.

Lunch:  11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

We lost a dear friend....



Donald Schneider

1937 – 2012

You don't have to have known Don Schneider to feel like you did. His footprints are everywhere in this community and can be seen and recognized by people from all walks of life. When I create an image in my mind of Don Schneider and his legacy I see a community full of orange dots….on buildings, on people and even floating around as thoughts, ideas and change. The dots would ultimately connect, bringing people together, all in the name of making this a better place to live.

It is unexplainably heartbreaking to think about Mr. Schneider's journey the past few years, and equally poignant to imagine his family taking this same journey with him.

As someone that has worked in the nonprofit life my entire career, I've had the honor of seeing so many great things that have happened because Don Schneider was involved -- and most of the time it was only a small circle of people that knew he and his family were involved because so many of his great acts of generosity were done quietly.

Although Don Schneider's acts of kindness are not as noticeable as his fleet of orange trucks, they are as plentiful.

While I am very sorry to say goodbye to Don - I am proud to say that his legacy will live on for many years to come at the New Community Shelter and throughout the entire community. Thank you and God Bless you Don Schneider!
